Chief Minister's directive to use Twitter & Facebook for communication & governance gets no respect

Chief Minister of Odisha had 'directed' his Ministers and Officers to quickly start communicating with people through Twitter and Facebook and use social media as governance too.

A year and month later, we find that the direction from the Chief Minister has no takers. Very few Ministers have Twitter and/or Facebook IDs. None of them have used those media for two-way communication. Most Ministers have not even created an ID.

The status of departments are even worse. Barring very few, none have opened Twitter and Facebook IDs. And no department has used the media to improve both side communication and use those for governance.

The table below is a list of Ministers and Departments which have Twitter and/or Facebook IDs. This has been compiled to help people use those media to start interacting. Hopefully, the government will soon realise that communicating better is very good for effective governance and also to pacify people.
