Whereas the Civil Society agrees to the urgent need of a Climate Change Action Plan for a very vulnerable state like Orissa, and appreciates your concerns for having such a plan very quickly, still the Civil Society is of the firm opinion that the time given for seeking suggestion on the Draft Climate Change Action Plan, from June 05 to June 25, is just too short for expecting quality and thorough inputs, comments or suggestions. Therefore, we strongly request the Government of Orissa to extend the deadline for submission of reviews and suggestion by at least a month more to make the Climate Change Action Plan – what could possibly be a very important policy document - vibrant, acceptable and worthy.
